Kriti Sanon's Mimi Director Is Not Willing To Resume Shoot Yet For THIS Reason
According to the latest reports, Kriti Sanon who was super excited for her upcoming film Mimi now has to wait for some time as the film’s director is in no hurry to go on the sets and resume shoot, due to safety concerns.
Kriti Sanon was super excited for her upcoming film Mimi where she will be essaying the role of a surrogate mother in Laxman Utekar's directorial venture. For the project, she ensured to give her best and also put on 15 kilos for the character. But now it looks like the actress needs to wait a little longer to resume the shoot for the film as the film’s director is in no hurry to go on the sets and resume shoot, due to safety concerns. Even though the Maharashtra government has issued guidelines and has allowed shootings, the director is not ready to shoot until and unless everything comes under control, considering the crucial time due to COVID-19.
Laxman Utekar told Mid Day in an interview, “We have close to five days’ shoot left, including the filming of a song and some scenes. But we don’t plan to resume shoot anytime soon. The number of COVID-19 cases in Maharashtra is increasing with every passing day. Unless that comes under control, I don’t want to call my team on the set.” Portions of the film have already been shot and the director had recently told PTI, “We have one introductory song left to be shot with Kriti. We have actors from the UK as part of the song and we won’t be able to shoot the song till the time the international flights are inactive.”
Meanwhile, the film ‘Mimi’ stars Kriti Sanon, Pankaj Tripathi and Saie Tamhankar in pivotal roles and is helmed by filmmaker Laxman Utekar. The film is produced by Dinesh Vijan and is a remake of the Marathi film ‘Mala Aai Vhhaychy!’ directed by Samroudhhi Porey. According to certain reports, the film ‘Mimi’ is said to have a digital release instead of a theatrical one.
